Registration

Maharashtra requires registration of any leave-and-license agreement of 12 months or more. Stamp duty = 0.25% of (total rent for the term + deposit). Registration fee ₹1,000 (Pune municipal area).

Deposit norms

Pune residential standard: 2–6 months' rent as refundable deposit. Premium pockets (Koregaon Park, Boat Club) push to 6–10 months. Token / brokerage is separate.
